Brenna Lord, RMT

Brenna Lord graduated from ICT Northumberland College of Massage and Hydrotherapy in Halifax in 2010. She is currently moving into her fourth year of Osteopathic studies with the Canadian College of Osteopathy.

Brenna believes that our thoughts and emotions play a role in determining our physical well-being and that our bodies tissues hold memories of past physical and emotional traumas as well as daily stressors. She has a slow and methodical style of treatment that encourages relaxation and stillness in the body and the mind. In addition to General Swedish Massage, Brenna incorporates Osteopathic principles, Suikodo and myo-fascial release techniques into her treatments to address each patients body as a whole interconnected system.

Brenna is a regular practitioner of Yoga and Qi Gong. She encourages patients to integrate meditative techniques as well as strengthening and stretching practices to facilitate a healthy balance of all the bodies systems. She is also a self-taught artist, seamstress and musician and spends her free time experimenting through these creative outlets.

Brenna is in good standing with the Massage Therapists Association of Nova Scotia (MTANS) and is a certified First Aid provider through St. Johns Ambulance.
