Emmylou graduated with honours from the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy in Halifax, Nova Scotia. She is in her third year of study at the Canadian College of Osteopathy.

She completed her training as a Birth Doula and currently supports women and their families through pregnancy, labour and delivery. Emmylou combines her knowledge of massage and anatomy with a commitment to help women have positive birth experiences.

Emmylou has an individual, client centred approach that works in collaboration with her clients to achieve a sense of well being and balance. Emphasis on examining the whole body mechanically combined with her evolving sensorial approach. She gives information and practical exercises to help empower her clients to help themselves outside of the appointment time.  She believes in the body’s innate wellness and healing potential, and focuses her work on encouraging and supporting this process.

In addition to General Swedish Massage, Emmylou offers treatments with an osteopathic approach along with Cupping & Pregnancy massage.

Emmylou is a member in good standing with the Massage Therapist’s Association of Nova Scotia (MTANS) and can bill directly with insurance plans. She has current first aid training with the Canadian Red Cross, CPR certified.
